Description:

The Ulster-Scots Ceilidh Night is a vibrant community event designed to celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Ulster-Scots tradition. Open to people of all ages and backgrounds, the evening will feature traditional live music, ceilidh dancing and opportunities to learn about Ulster-Scots history, language, and customs in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Participants will be encouraged to join in with group dances led by experienced callers, helping to break down barriers, build confidence, and foster new friendships. The event will provide an enjoyable social gathering that brings together families, older people, young people, and community groups, strengthening community cohesion and reducing social isolation.

Through cultural performances and interactive activities, attendees will gain a greater appreciation of Ulster-Scots heritage while actively participating in its traditions. The Ceilidh Night will create a positive, shared experience that celebrates local identity, encourages cultural learning, and promotes community pride.
