Creative Connections is a free Culture Night event celebrating creativity, participation and cultural expression. The evening will bring together creative workshops, visual art, live music and conversation, inviting people of all ages to explore Tuar Ard, meet artists, make something themselves and enjoy a shared cultural experience.

From 6pm, Art Box will lead Art & Tea: A Creative Tea Party where participants will use edible colour, texture and design to transform mini cakes into small edible artworks. This workshop encourages creativity, conversation and participation in a relaxed and welcoming environment and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

From 7pm, the gallery will host the official launch of Butterfly Effect, an exhibition by Pine Glam Aga, a Polish artist living in Ireland whose colourful mixed-media artwork explores identity, imagination and personal expression. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artist, hear about her creative process and experience the exhibition in an informal and welcoming setting.

At 8pm, the theatre will host a live music showcase celebrating local performers and a range of musical styles, bringing audiences together through a shared live performance.

The event will also coincide with the launch of Tuar Ard’s Autumn Programme, inviting visitors to discover future performances, workshops and creative opportunities and encouraging continued participation in arts and cultural life throughout the year.

By opening different spaces throughout the building, Creative Connections reflects the spirit of Culture Night by making the arts welcoming and accessible, supporting artists and creating opportunities for people to connect through shared creative experience.

The event will also include a presentation of old photos and videos from the area with stories told by locals about them.
