Culture Night visitors are invited to explore the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment building on a guided tour highlighting its distinctive architecture and historic features and enjoy a performance by the acclaimed Sandymount Gospel Choir

The tour begins at reception, where visitors will be guided through Ireland’s first purpose-built Government building. The tour highlights the building’s unique architectural features, including the Secretary General’s and Minister’s Offices, the boardroom, and the distinctive terrazzo flooring on the rear staircase leading to the basement. Visitors can also view the building’s impressive exterior, featuring sculptural reliefs and its striking five-storey steel window.

The Sandymount Gospel Choir repertoire includes gospel, bluegrass, African and popular music. Founded in 2009 and led by Musical Director Cathy McEvoy, the choir has performed at a wide range of events, including the Dublin Lord Mayor’s Concert, Darkness Into Light, the Bunratty Folk Festival and numerous community events.

Taobh amuigh den fhoirgneamh, b’iontach an radharc iad na rilíf dealbhóireachta agus an fhuinneog 5-urlár suntasach.

Ceol gaspal, ceol bluegrass, ceol Afracach agus popcheol atá i measc stór an Sandymount Gospel Choir. Is í Cathy Mc Evoy stiúthóir an choir, a bunaíodh i 2009. Tá taispeántais déanta ag an gcór ag réimse leathan imeachtaí, ceolchoirm an Ardmhéara, Darkness Into Light, Bunratty Folk Festival san áireamh comh maith le go leor imeachtaí pobail eile.
