Yeats and the Golden Dawn is a late-night improvised comedy theatre event inspired by W. B. Yeats, his interest in the occult and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

Reimagining one of Yeats’s séance gatherings through comedy and improvisation, the performance invites the audience to become part of the action. Improvised scenes, ritual games and comic encounters will be shaped by audience suggestions, choices and participation, culminating in a séance where the audience themselves become the “spirits” and help determine what happens next.

Blending Sligo’s literary heritage with live comedy, mysticism and communal play, the event offers a playful and accessible take on Yeats. With no two performances the same, audiences are invited to laugh, imagine and participate together.
