For Culture Night 2022, the James Joyce Centre invites you to celebrate Womancity – Women in Joyce. The Centre will be open on all floors with some new additions to our permanent displays and exhibitions. There will also be a number of special events and for these booking will be essential – Molly’s Soliloquy a 15-minute extract from Ulysses performed by Caitriona Ni Threasaigh and a public conversation around ‘Ulysses & the women behind the Scenes’. Clare Hutton will create a temporary exhibition relating to her extraordinary exhibition at the Harry Ransom Centre in Austin, Texas called “Women & the Making of Ulysses”. Artist Lucy Brennan Shiel will show a short documentary introducing Harriet Shaw Weaver and her importance to the life and work of James Joyce.
