FOR PEAT’S SAKE
Irish bogs have been at the core of Irish heritage, arts and culture for hundreds of years.
The evening will explore the links and connections bogs have with our past traditions and culture along with examining the current state of Irish bogland habitats by exploring the future possibilities for peatlands in Ireland.
Designed to be an evening of nostalgia and thought-provoking questions, with some history, wildlife conservation and poetry in the mix, it provides a glimpse into the future for some of Ireland’s most unique ecosystems.
This will be explored through a talk and discussion followed by a bog walk enabling you to look at the bog from a whole new perspective.
