Creating a home away from home

Culture Night in Claremorris is all about creating a sense of home away from home: connecting the African, South American, Ukrainian and Irish, among the other cultures and communities now living in rural Ireland. So when we ask: where is home? what we really want to know is what’s your story? We'll be celebrating cultural resilience through people and the story of their cultural journey from all over the world to the west of Ireland; Culture is every sound we make, and every move we make. On this one night for all those gathered will get a taste of our multiculturalism through a creative arts workshop; folk music, dance and traditional songs; as well as funky music for all to dance to; alongside some tasty homemade food prepared by our multicultural community; Live performances are livestreamed on CCR 94.6fm and online.
