West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival present The Kelly Sisters

The Kelly Sisters, Fiona and Jean, have been performing together as a flute and harp duo for over 20 years. They hail from an Irish family of several generations of professional musicians. Originally from Cork, they are now both based in London. Recent duo performances include a concerto tour with the Irish Chamber Orchestra and a performance of Mozart Flute and Harp Concerto with the National Symphony Orchestra.

Hailed by the New York Times as a flautist with “impressive technique and elegant musicianship”, Fiona Kelly is in demand as an orchestral and chamber musician and has performed as a soloist at many festivals around the world, including the BBC Proms.

Jean Kelly is a versatile harpist, with an eclectic career ranging from Early Music to Contemporary Classical and Folk Music. Jean has performed on many commercial film and TV soundtracks,for composers such as Jonny Greenwood, Max Richter and Dario Marianelli. She regularly performs with the Guy Barker Big Band at major UK venues including the BBC Proms and has toured alongside the band with pop singer Paloma Faith.
