Volunteering is very much part of Irish culture – whether it is ‘helping out’, the tradition of ‘Meitheal’ or just looking out for each other.
To volunteer can mean very different things in different countries and cultures. We want to explore this on Culture night and see what volunteering means in Irish Culture and other cultures around the world.
