Waterford Healing Arts Trust brings live music to hospital wards for Culture Night 2017
In celebration of Culture Night 2017, Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) will bring live music to the wards of University Hospital Waterford from 7pm-8pm. WHAT promotes the positive relationship between music, health and well being through live music experiences which aim to soften the clinical environment and reduce anxiety and stress for patients, visitors and staff. The professional musicians visiting the wards have all been trained to work in healthcare settings and will be led by well known musician Liam Merriman. Liam works regularly with WHAT and trained as a musician in hospital settings with Musique et Santé in Paris. He has considerable experience working within the music and health context.
Waterford Healing Arts Trust (WHAT) is Ireland’s leading arts and health programme.
