Masha Golubieva, a refugee in Ireland from the war in Ukraine. In this exhibition, Masha explores the splintering effect of war, the global span of war and the scaled down effect of war on the individual. Masha says “I am very connected to my life in Ukraine still. I feel split in two, one life in Ireland – One life in Ukraine”.
Masha’s work tells snippets of stories, how the children had to hide in the subway during spring, seeing no sun, how gypsies stole a tank, how farmers protected the territory. How we had to put tape on the windows to prevent glass shattering from blasts. This digital exhibition will contain a short video interview where she discusses the story behind each piece of work.
