Join Liam, a history and political science graduate and experienced Dublin guide, to explore the rebel history of the area between Capel Street and Smithfield. The tour will cover the United Irishmen such as Robert Emmet and the Brothers Sheares, the Irish National Invincibles, the 1916 Rising and the North King Street Massacre, Kevin Barry and the War of Independence, and the Civil War. Exploring both famous and lesser-known characters and events, this tour will bring to the fore the vibrant, revolutionary history of Dublin’s north-west inner-city from the 1790s to the 1920s.

Meeting point: Green Street Courthouse, 1 Green St, Dublin, D07 X6NR
Tour times: 6pm and 8pm, both lasting one hour and 15 minutes.
