Active Virginians Singers, Over 50's Vision through Art

Active Virginians Choir with Music Tutor Clara Raybould McCabe (The Music Room) have organised an intergenerational evening at The Virginia Show Centre.

Commencing with a performance by the Active Virginians Choir.  They will sing a selection of classic favourites for all ages.

After the performance, there will be an impromptu Intergenerational Music Making Workshop facilitated by Clara for young children and their grandparent, all welcome to participate.   This will be an interactive, fun and educational workshop for children and adults,  bringing local communities together.  It will include active music making, singing and musical art.

The Show centre will also have an Exhibition of works completed by the Active Virginians during a 17 week workshop facilitated by Margaret Dunne McKenna. There are beautiful and colourful depictions of Virginia, seen through the eyes of the 11 artists who took part in the Project; Dympna Roe, Assumpta Flynn, Michael Connell, Val Haldane, Margaret Hopkins, Anne Brodie, Patricia Price, Teresa Abbott, Maureen Vaughan, Dolores Jackson and Annette Coffey.


Very light refreshments served.
