Join us in Castleblayney for a unique and very special night of Arts and Street Theatre! This evening the streets of Castleblayney will come to life as the community celebrates the life and legacy of one of the town’s most significant sons, pioneering photographer, doctor and traveller John J Clarke. A number of sites around the town will be reimagined by artists, actors and everyone of all ages who cares to join in. No pressure, but feel free to dress up in Edwardian era clothes (optional). Above all feel free to have a good time. This event is part of 2019 Theatre Artist In Residence programme for County Monaghan and is supported by Creative Ireland, The Arts Council, Íontas Arts Centre and Monaghan County Council.
We will round off the evening in Castleblayney with a very special Culture Night Miscellany in the Scouts Hall from 8pm just opposite JJ Clarkes house! Expect a night of storytelling, music, recitals and craic at this family friendly and free gathering. This event is produced by Íontas Arts. Refreshments will also be served in the Scouts Hall.
