To celebrate Culture Night, Oíche Chultúir 2022, Newport Development Association in conjunction with Marie Tuohey of Newport Musical Society are running a Free Variety Concert in Newport Community Centre on the 23rd of September at 7.30pm. The variety show will have all local artists performing on the night celebrating all that makes up the richness and diversity of culture in our town and our county.

We will have artists from the Fleming Ball School of Irish Dancing, Local Traditional Music Group, Mulcaire Men’s Shed Choir, Tulach Sheasta Comhaltas Group, local schools and also some members of the Newport Musical Society Group. The local Drama Society will also take to the stage, with what will undoubtedly put a smile on all our faces. From music, song, dance and comedy, there is something for all ages to enjoy.

Prior to the variety concert, the Local Historical Society will be running a a Historical Exhibition of Newport through the years, which promises to be something special.
On the night we will have some refreshments and savouries for all to enjoy.
The event promises to be a great night, where we will celebrate all that is good about the arts and where all can gather with family and friends.
