Join us for a relaxed evening of urban sketching in the scenic village of Glaslough. This informal event is open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced artist or completely new to sketching.

Participants are invited to explore the village and create their own sketches of the buildings, streets and surrounding scenery. People are welcome to bring your own sketching materials, and there will also be some simple materials available for anyone who would like to come along and have a go.

The emphasis is on participation rather than instruction — there is no pressure to produce a finished artwork or to have any previous experience. It is simply an opportunity to slow down, look at the village in a different way, enjoy being creative outdoors and meet others who enjoy drawing and art.

The end of the sketching session, will culminate in a small open-air exhibition, with participants invited to peg up their sketches for an informal show-and-tell, investigate each others work, chat and enjoy the opportunity to connect with other artists and sketchers.

Sketching from 5.30pm–7.00pm, followed by the informal open-air exhibition and chat from 7.00pm–7.30pm.

All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent.
