Description:

Our Evolving Relationship with Life Below Water combines:
- a drop-in exhibition tour in Special Collections, UCC Library
- sound installation in response to items in the exhibition
- hands-on activities for the visitor to respond to on the ground floor of UCC Library.

The drop-in tour includes maps, posters, prints and books of historical voyages of exploration and scientific investigations of seas and lakes in UCC Library’s Special Collections to explore and consider how historical stories, discoveries and ideas from the 16th century to the present continue to shape and impact our world. The sound installation includes field recordings from Lough Hyne, West Cork.

Colouring sheets and morla provided for you to create your interpretation of Life Below Water. Our Evolving Relationship with Life Below Water demonstrates why a greater awareness and understanding of UN SDG 14 is required by all. An online exhibition will complement the event.
