Turbines Through Time: Photographic Exhibition of ESB Renewable Energy Infrastructure

- Offline
Description:
Hosted at ESB headquarters, the photographic exhibition Turbines Through Time will take visitors on a visual journey beginning in the 1920s with an ambitious vision to harness the power of water to electrify the fledgling Irish State. The exhibition showcases the monumental infrastructure which has enabled the ESB play a transformative role in the provision of renewable electricity, beginning with construction of the Ardnacrusha hydro-station a century ago. Carefully curated images highlight how the ESB continues through its Driven to Make a Difference: Net Zero by 2040 strategy, to champion the historic legacy of Ardnacrusha by embracing the next generation of renewables; solar power, onshore and offshore wind projects. Visitors can enjoy complimentary barista coffee and pastries served from the iconic ESB van or generate their own kinetic energy with a handmade paper windmill.
