Tower Tours

This belfry tour offers the chance to climb the 86 steps to Christ Church Cathedral’s belfry, admire the view from the roof of our south transept and the opportunity to ring the cathedral’s record-breaking bells.

The tour is conducted by an experienced member of cathedral staff. There is a limit of 24 spaces available for each belfry tour which must be booked in advance.

Tours last approximately 30 minutes and begin at 4.30pm, 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
Entrance is at your given slot. Latecomers will not be admitted.

This tour is not suitable for those with walking difficulties, a fear of heights, claustrophobia or service animals. It is only available for people aged 12 and over. Please wear sensible shoes and do not bring any large items like bags, etc. This ticket does not give admission to the cathedral itself.
