Description:

On Culture Night, the public is welcome to stop by the headquarters of Irish Freemasonry, built between 1866 and 1869 to the design of Edward Holmes. Visitors will be guided around the Masonic meeting rooms, decorated in Classical, Egyptian, Gothic and Tudor styles, before completing their tour in the museum.

Freemasonry is a fraternal and charitable organisation which has its origin in the guilds of the operative stonemason.
