The Embassy of Greece in Ireland, with the support of Drama International Short Film Festival, presents online the short film “To Vancouver” (2021) written and directed by Artemis Anastasiadou. Two siblings, a spell, wounded landscapes and an inevitable escape. Is it a migration story or the chronicle of an extinction? Artemis Anastasiadou is a director and screenwriter from Thessaloniki. She studied theatre at the Department of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Film Directing at the University of Austin, Texas. Her latest film “I am Mackenzie” won the Texas Best Short Film Award at SXSW2019, and the Tonia Marketaki Award at the Drama International Short Film Festival. The film (23min) is in Greek with English subtitles and is recommended PG.
This event is part of the European Culture Trail – a EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture) initiative for Culture Night in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Ireland.
