Opening reception for an exciting group exhibition of recent paintings by artists Noelle Angley, Josephine Boland, and Vanya Savov.

The different personalities and backgrounds of each artist make for a lively contrast of influences, styles and interpretations of the rich cultural heritages of Ireland and the Balkans. Paintings range from expressive, atmospheric, neo-impressionistic interpretations to more stylistic and representational work.

With professional careers in architecture and education Noelle and Josephine both share a passion for plein air painting, their work demonstrating a great love of the outdoors and Ireland’s stunning landscapes. Vanya, with a background in psychology, is by contrast a studio painter, and her highly expressive works are often gestural and emotional responses to a scene.

The exhibition will be introduced by the award-winning artist Trish Findlater, performing the opening ceremony on Culture Night, Friday 18^th of September, 7pm-8.30pm.  All are welcome. The Three Ways of Seeing exhibition will continue through Sunday 27^th September open daily 11am-6pm.

This opening will be followed by Jazz by the wonderful ‘Small Floor Trio’ from 9pm in the same venue – a free walk-in event with musicians Paul O’Driscoll, Eanna Ryder and Andy O’Farrell.

These events in the KAVA Courthouse are just two of the many free events which will be happening during Culture Night as part of the Kinvara Art and Culture Trail – details available on www.kinvaramusic.com, www.kava.ie and www.kinvarapleinair.ie
