Clogh Writers will host a Culture Night 2022 event in Moneenroe Community Hall. The event will focus on the theme of coal mining and local culture to include participation of Clogh Writers, local schoolchildren, Moneenroe Set Dancers, plus local and visiting artists, including poets and singers with a view to highlight and record the diverse nature of our culture, both from our past and our current generations, helping to shed light on the path for future generations and to foster a sense of place and community.
The night will include a screening of a short film A Woman’s Culm, keeping the home fires burning, produced by visual artist Pauline O’Connell, as part of the Decade of Centenaries Programme 2021-2023, Kilkenny County Council.
