Sligo Youth Theatre present a radio play - "THE WAR OF THE WORLDS" by Orson Welles

Prepare to be immersed as Sligo Youth Theatre members from all age groups take you on a multi-sensory radio play experience, exploring Orson Welles classic "The War of the Worlds" utilizing , voice, live action and projections, along with on-stage sound effects.
Even though it's an oldie, the play's connotations still highlight the obsessional thoughts and sometimes irrational fears that humans have of possible UFO landings, and the existence of terrestrial beings who might be out to get us here on planet Earth. Who really knows what's out there in the universe, and of what the future holds in experiencing contact with alien life? Lets have fun anyways with the members' interpretation of the radio play that caused havoc and mayhem when first aired on CBS radio in the USA in 1938.
