The Prado on the Barrow

On Culture Night, visit The Prado on the Barrow! The idea for Athy Photographic Society's project started during COVID-19 lockdown when the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum invited people to recreate famous works of art using only household items. For this year’s Culture night, Athy Photographic Society decided to challenge their members to recreate (with no limits on props etc.) famous art works from around the world.
These will be presented in an exhibition in their own Prado on the Barrow for Culture Night.
Athy Photographic Society has been running in its present form for over 30 years. Their focus is to introduce new ideas and concepts, to inspire members to let their photography grow and they pride themselves on being a friendly and inclusive club who welcome members of all levels of experience, from absolute beginners to professional photographers. Like most camera clubs, they don’t “teach” photography, but provide an environment where their member’s photography can develop.
