’The Pipes are Calling’
Organ and Voice Concert

Dunlavin based artists, organist Judit Máté and baritone Gyula Nagy are performing a recital at St Nicholas of Myra, Catholic Church in Dunlavin, County Wicklow, at 7pm on Culture Night, on the 18th September 2026.

Besides being a concert and church organist, Judit is the Artistic Director of the famous Dún Laoghaire Summer Organ Concerts, while Gyula is an international opera singer, who has performed with companies such as Irish National Opera, Opéra National de Lorraine, Hungarian State Opera and the Royal Ballet and Opera Covent Garden.

On Culture Night, their concert celebrates the power and importance of art, especially organ music. Their programme includes works by J. S. Bach, Georg Friedrich Handel, Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and more. The event showcases the Griffen & Stroud organ of Dunlavin, while the architectural beauty of the church of St Nicholas of Myra provides the atmospheric surrounding, creating an intimate, yet communal experience. The event includes a short description of the organ, while at the end of the concert, people can have a closer look at it as well.
The event is approximately 45minutes long, admission is free of charge.
