The Night Johnny Cash Came to Town

On Culture Night, celebrate the 60th anniversary of County music superstar Johnny Cash's visit to Athy.
Using the original set list, the Johnny Cash concert in Athy from 1963 will be recreated with people who were there on the night. Country star Shane Sullivan will lead his band in the songs. Between songs, those first Athy teenagers, all now pensioners, will talk about the excitment of seeing this global superstar in this small sleepy Irish town.
