A time to gather in advance of the Food on the Edge, a two–day symposium that aims to challenge our perspective on food and our connection to it. Speakers at the symposium are chosen for their innovation, passion and influence on today’s food culture. With their own unique perspective, speakers talk about the cultural, social, environmental and educational aspects of food. The emphasis for each talk is on their vision for the future of food and how we can make things better, on both a local and a global level. This year sees the introduction of ‘migration’ as a theme. To inspire action through debate and dialogue: this is Food on the Edge. Find out what it is all about at the launch and enjoy a reading by symposium director, JP McMahon, of his play, ‘Irish Food. A Play.’ For more details about the symposium, see https://foodontheedge.ie/
