As part of Fingal County Council’s Commemorative Programme 2021, the Irish Writers Centre, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, has partnered with Fingal Arts Office to develop a commissioned programme of new writing that reimagines a moment in Fingal’s History, the burning of the coastguard cottages in 1921. New writing by Dermot Bolger, Éilís Ní Dhuibhne, Ciara Ní É, Stephen Walsh, Kit de Waal and Enda Coyle-Greene will be filmed and screened on the beach in Loughshinny Harbour on Culture Night 2021. The screening of A Burning Tide will take place on the beach at Loughshinny Harbour, North Co Dublin for the public from 7-9 pm on Culture Night. It will be shown on a screen which is 8 square metres located outside the boathouse on the beach.
