The Horse celebrates its fifth anniversary with the opening of a survey of recent works by artist HelenA Pritchard, including pieces created in direct response to her recent residency at Barry Flannigan’s studio in County Kildare.

Pritchard’s relationship with materials transcends find and use. Under her employment, discarded and overlooked objects are repurposed and transformed into carefully considered, evolving forms. Through this compounding process, objects appear as archetypal studies of the artist’s own formalities. The works explore ideas of reference and self-reference, creating visual language that places the works in concert with one another.
