The Fly-by-Night Parasol Jazz Band

The Fly-by-Night Parasol Jazz Band will perform New Orleans themed music under the parasol at
Cavan’s Market Square. This event will sound the end of the working day on Culture Night and enable
all those passing by to enjoy some accessible Dixieland themed music.

This fun, family friendly event will perform songs/music from yester-year by a group of local musicians who will encourage all
present to enjoy a sway or dance on Market Square! This performance will build on the infrastructure that
was implemented in 2021 under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, the parasols and seats
installed in the Square will allow spectators of this performance to sit or stand to enjoy the music under
the cover of the parasols if necessary, therefore making it an outdoor musical performance
independent of all weather conditions.
