The Butler Gallery welcomes visitors to a late night viewing of Amy Cutler: Colloquies.
Colloquies, brings the renowned New York artist’s work to Ireland for the first time.
Amy Cutler’s paintings and pencil on paper works, are both dark and delightful – whimsical allegories illustrating the destructive effects of the unrealistic expectations that cultures impose on women. Inspired by this exhibition, Butler Gallery celebrates Culture Night with a multi-sensory, after-hours programme of interactive experiences in Kilkenny Castle:
Take a closer LOOK at the fascinating drawings, paintings and intricate sculpture of Amy Cutler with extended opening hours for visitors from 5-9pm.
LISTEN to the talented multi-instrumentalist Branwen, perform her experimental music, weaving together a narrative response to the exhibition, where sound and visuals combine in a mesmerising event.
While younger visitors can RESPOND to the exhibition, through workshops with our artist panel and create their own artwork inspired by Amy Cutler.
No booking is required, but places are limited for Branwen’s performance at 7:30pm.
The Butler Gallery is open all day from 10am to 9pm.
