A group of female artists from the community of Ballina/Killaloe are displaying a collection of “female self portraits”, entitled “Strong Women in the Community”. History has shown Women artists have been the subject of varying degrees of critical attention and neglect. This vibrant group of mature female artists have come together to create an exhibition of their own personal journeys in creating a collection of self portrait works, medium acrylic on canvas. The holistic development of the learner provides growth, expansion and progress to their own success.
