A series of live talks will take place from 5pm – 9pm on the important conservation work that protects the Book of Kells and Old Library. Learn first-hand from Trinity experts about the delicate science behind preserving the Book of Kells and get a close-up view of the 1200-year-old manuscript. Afterwards, step into the Long Room, one of the world’s most beautiful libraries and home to over 200,000 of Trinity’s most ancient books. There you will meet a member of Trinity’s Conservation team, who will talk you through some of the techniques that protect the library’s precious collections. The talks in the Long Room will be also broadcast via Facebook Live. With a limited amount of slots available, Culture Night at the Book of Kells and Old Library, is guaranteed to be serene and awe-inspiring experience.
