Description:

Café Link Ballybane offers an inclusive and welcoming introduction to engaging with art in a relaxed, community-focused setting. Designed to take place in the café’s comfortable and accessible space, the event will provide light refreshments and nibbles, encouraging participants to settle in, connect, and feel at ease. At the heart of the project is an informal talk and guided discussion led by an established artist Annette Colleran. The session is specifically tailored for individuals who may feel unsure about how to approach or speak about art. Through open conversation, storytelling, and practical examples, the artist will demystify the process of interpreting artworks, offering accessible language and frameworks that empower participants to express their own perspectives with confidence. Audience engagement is central to the experience. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions, share interpretations, and respond to visual material in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Tabharfaidh Café Link an Bhaile Bháin buntreoir cuimsitheach agus fáilteach maidir leis an gcaoi le dul i ngleic leis an ealaín i suíomh suaimhneach atá dírithe ar an bpobal. Tá sé curtha sa gcaoi is go mbeidh sé ar siúl i spás compordach agus inrochtana an chaife, beidh greim bia agus sólaistí éadroma ar fáil, agus spreagfar na rannpháirtithe le socrú síos, muintearas a chruthú agus a bheith ar a suaimhneas. I gcroílár an tionscadail beidh caint neamhfhoirmiúil agus plé treoraithe faoi stiúir an ealaíontóra aitheanta Annette Colleran. Tá an seisiún dírithe go speisialta ar dhaoine nach mbeadh cinnte faoin gcaoi le tabhairt faoin ealaín nó le healaín a phlé. Trí chomhrá oscailte, scéalaíocht, agus samplaí praiticiúla, bainfidh an t-ealaíontóir an rúndacht a bhaint as an bpróiseas a bhaineann le saothair ealaíne a léirmhíniú, agus roinnfidh sí teanga éasca agus creataí le cur ar chumas na rannpháirtithe a gcuid dearcthaí féin a chur in iúl go muiníneach. Beidh plé leis an lucht féachana ina chuid ríthábhachtach den ócáid. Spreagfar na rannpháirtithe le ceisteanna a chur, a léirmhínithe a roinnt, agus freagairt d’ábhar amhairc i dtimpeallacht atá tacúil agus saor ó bhreithiúnas.
