Suaimhneach — Join us for Culture Night 2026 in association with Newcastle West Arts in The Red Door Newcastle West – come experience an evening inspired by the sea, landscape, movement, and the power of creativity to calm, connect, and restore. This exhibition is not about formal galleries or trying to “understand” art. It is simply an invitation to come in, take a breath, look around, and experience something different in a warm and welcoming setting.

Inspired by the Irish word “Suaimhneach,” meaning peaceful or tranquil, this exhibition brings together ceramics and paintings by two artists who found peace, healing, and connection through creating art. Their work is raw, expressive, textured, and deeply inspired by the lived experience of Ireland

Visitors are encouraged to wander at their own pace, chat with the artists, and enjoy an evening centred around calmness, curiosity, reflection, and connection.

Expect:

• atmospheric artwork

• tactile ceramic pieces

• colour, texture, and movement

• conversation, reflection, and inspiration

Whether you love art, are simply curious, or are just looking for a meaningful and peaceful Culture Night experience, everyone is welcome.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
