Description:

A celebration of words, music and performance, bringing to life the many ways poetry and literature can be transformed into song. Curate by Mark Corcoran, Roisin Ward Morrow and Sharon McArdle. Following on from the success of These are the Waves last year’s concerts to celebrate the life of Australian musician Conway Savage and his connection to Dundalk, the centerpiece will be a live performance of Savage’s musical interpretation of Poems by James Joyce and James Stephens accompanied by Strings in the Earth, Haunt the Lion and Tanist, performed by Mark, Sharon and Roisin. The event will also feature the works of Kavanagh, Dorothy McArdle, and Robert Burns who shares a special link with Dundalk through his sister Agnes Burns.
