Culture Night is being celebrated this year at Tournore Little Free Library with a completely free night of Irish Myths and Legends .
Carol Elstead Thomas famed for her memorable performances in many Dungarvan Town pantomimes, will transport us to a time long long ago and to places far far away . To learn and enjoy the story of the Giants Causeway and maybe some local myths and legends too.
So young and old please come and be entertained by the best baddie in town – Carol is an active member of Dungarvan Dramatic Club’s productions and most recently played the role of Mary Crotty in The Drama Circle’s production of Crotty The Highway Man and sings with The Déise Singers . We are so excited and grateful to Carol for getting involved with this event .
We would also like to put out a call for people of other nationalities to share a myth or legend from their country. And maybe teach us all a phrase from their language – like their equivalent of ‘Hello , How are you ?’ – please get in touch if you would like to take part email us [email protected] .
This promises to be a wonderful night of Irish Myths and Legends , the event will kick off at 7pm at Tournore Court Little Free Library (the second green) .
Please bring a chair or a blanket and a cup, then simply sit back and relax to enjoy our wonderful story telling event for young and old alike.
We will serve hot chocolate to those in attendance, but to cut down on waste we are asking people to please bring their own cup .
We would like to thank Conor Nolan and Margaret Organ and Anna Jordan from Waterford Council Arts office for supporting this event .
We look forward to welcoming you all to culture night at Tournore Little Free Library.
