Description:
Stages We Share brings speech, drama, storytelling, heritage and culture into senior centres, creating moments of connection, creativity and joy tailored to each individual.
Through accessible, person-centred sessions, residents will be invited to take part in speech and voice activities, storytelling, poetry, memories, personal experiences, simple drama and creative play. Participation will be gentle, supportive and flexible, allowing residents to join in or simply enjoy the performances as audience members.
Live elements may include dramatic monologues and duologues, poetry and spoken word, with the project also exploring the involvement of a sean-nós dancer and singer. Where appropriate, Irish language may be incorporated through song, spoken word or storytelling.
Activities will be adapted to residents’ needs, abilities and wellbeing, supporting creative expression, cultural participation and social connection.
