St Patrick’s Mental Health Services is celebrating Culture Night 2020 with three virtual events.
The Life and Legacy of Jonathan Swift – an online presentation by Professor Jim Lucey
Professor James Lucey, Consultant Psychiatrist at St Patrick’s Mental Health Services presents an online talk on the fascinating history of its founder, author and Dean of St Patrick’s Cathedral, Jonathan Swift. As a result of Swift’s generosity and vision for a ‘home for fools and mad’, Jonathan Swift left a lasting legacy by founding Ireland’s first mental health services hospital and has shaped the future of mental health care in Ireland in the 21st Century.
A compelling collection of winning entries by novice filmmakers, all with a mental health theme, to the education and awareness raising initiative Walk in My Shoes’ annual Frame of Mind competition.
Favourite Painting Exhibition
A virtual exhibition of contemporary Irish art pieces, submitted by some of Ireland’s leading galleries to take part in our ‘Favourite Painting’ competition. Viewers are invited to browse through the entries and vote for their preferred entry.
