An exhibition of artwork produced by young people from and around the beautiful and historic Georgian Town of Doneraile. The work will be exhibited in St Mary’s Church of Ireland built-in 1633 by Sir William St Leger. The spire of the church gave its name to the term Steeplechasing. The first account of a horse race over natural fences was in 1752 between Mr O Callaghan a Mr. Edmund Burke The race being from the Church in Buttevant to the Church in Doneraile.
Art for the Heart made up of people who are interested in the Arts. Formed after Culture night in 2018 they have held exhibitions to promote local Artists, to celebrate International Women’s Day, organised a 24-hour charity “paintathon”, hold paint and a pint evenings, Plein air every Thursday morning during the summer months and held their first Art festival DAFT Doneraile Art FesT this July
