The eighth-century graveyard, medieval tower and 190-year-old St Maelruain’s Church are open for a visit and tour led by the parish priest. Hear about a time when Tallaght and Finglas were known as the eyes of Ireland. Originally a country church blessed by the population explosion in the 1970’s, today the church has parishioners from all over the world, especially African and Indian communities.
