St. Maelruain's Church

Guided Tour of our Beautiful Church

Offline

The Parish Priest warmly offers guided, individual tours of the absolutely stunning Saint Maelruain’s Church of Ireland. The church is almost two hundred years old, while the site itself has been used for Christian worship since the foundation of a monastery in the 8th century.

The Gothic Revival Church boasts lancet windows, pinnacles, buttresses, a stair turret, and the original medieval bell tower. Do not skip this magnificent multi-period site, described by the National Inventory of Architectural of Heritage as “of the utmost importance”. For those at home, the Facebook page for St Maelruain’s will offer both a drone video and a tour of the interior.
