Description:
The Spiritan Congregation in Ireland will showcase their long tradition of overseas development work dating back to 1859 for Culture Night 2023. It offers a self-guided tour of the Romanesque (Italian rather than Hiberno) Church of the Holy Spirit, Kimmage Manor with its nave seating in a collegiate layout and historical stained-glass windows — the work of Mr Willie Dowling of Harry Clarke Studios. There will also be two opportunities to attend a talk by one of our resident historians about the story of the Spiritans in Kimmage Manor.
The Spiritan Promotions Office and the Heritage & Archive Centre in Kimmage Manor are proud to present this evening of cultural and historical interest. The Exhibition and self-guided tour takes place in the Church, while the Public Talk will take place in the Parish Hall.
