“Songbook  Presents: The Carlow Songbook”, a live performance celebrating the songwriting talent within the local Carlow music scene. Taking place in Scraggs Alley from 6–7pm, Ciorcal (Emmet Jones, Daniel Craig, Darragh O’Connor, Duane Ayres, and Gavin Glover) will perform new arrangements and reinterpretations of songs written by local artists from Carlow and the surrounding area.

Built around a shared love of local songwriting and community, the project brings together a group of local musicians to explore familiar songs in a different setting and style using acoustic and traditional instrumentation. The performance is intended to feel informal and collaborative, while also paying tribute to the depth of original music that has emerged from Carlow over the years.

The idea for the project grew organically from chats at local gigs and open mics. Through a shared passion for the local music scene, the group began reworking songs by friends and fellow artists from across Carlow.
