Something About Mary at The Copper House Gallery

Visit a unique collection in the Copper House Gallery, filled floor to ceiling with images, statues, t shirts, modern and traditional work of the Virgin Mary. Started in 2010 when Shane MacGowan gave Rosita, the curator, a picture he’d drawn on a floor tile of the Virgin Mary – Shane the hell-raiser was channeling Mary, and the collection grew from there.

The collection is NOT religious. This is a reclamation of Mary as a feminist goddess – goddess of woman, and also of motherhood. All welcome.
