Experience the rich traditions of Slovakia with the Slovak folk ensemble FS Ostroha, which has been proudly sharing the beauty and authenticity of Slovak folklore in Ireland for many years.
The programme for Culture Night opens with a vibrant singing performance, followed by an introduction to Slovak folk traditions through authentic music, dance, and colourful regional costumes. Audiences will discover the unique sounds of traditional Slovak folk instruments and experience the richness of Slovakia’s musical heritage. This performance also features lively folk dances showcasing the elegance, energy, and traditions of Slovak couple dancing, including the dynamic ‘Hat Dance’, one of the highlights of the programme.
The evening concludes with an interactive dance workshop, giving participants the chance to learn some traditional Slovak folk dance steps and enjoy the joy of dancing themselves.Culture Night at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic is a unique opportunity to experience Slovakia’s living cultural heritage in an engaging and memorable way.
