The Sing for Life Choir was established over 10 years ago by Cancer Focus NI. It is a non-audition choir that is open to anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, may that be a patient, carer or family member. The choir is now over 80 members strong and rehearse once a week in Belfast. The fun, friendly and supportive environment provides a therapeutic experience in which individuals can meet others affected by cancer, whilst learning new choral skills along the way. The choir’s repertoire ranges from upbeat & popular music to traditional sacred songs, meaning there is something for everyone. It truly is a remarkable community of people and as our strap line says – ‘it’s no ordinary choir’.
We would provide a single performance of a variety of contemporary and classical songs arranged and conducted by Keith Acheson and performed by approximately 30-50 members of the Cancer Focus Sing for Life Community Choir. We would request that we have collection buckets at the event for fundraising purposes.
