Sine of Light – an interactive New Music experience designed by CMC Emerging Composer Paul Scully

Immerse yourself in new music from Ireland in the Contemporary Music Centre (CMC) on Culture Night!

Sine of Light is an interactive New Music experience designed by CMC Emerging Composer Paul Scully, inviting Culture Nighters to engage with the cityscape around 19 Fishamble Street, Temple Bar.

Using a pair of binoculars and a set of headphones, locate performers lighting up the windows of Temple Bar – separate yet connected, they perform together from different elevated points in Dublin’s Creative Quarter. The experience is accompanied by a specially commissioned text, written and performed by Tom Roseingrave.

The Contemporary Music Centre is Ireland’s archive and resource for new music, supporting the work of composers throughout the island of Ireland. CMC documents, develops and promotes contemporary music from Ireland at home and internationally.
