Description:

This Culture Night, the Irish Writers’ Union invites visitors to an evening celebrating Irish writing. Twelve writers will each read for five minutes from their recently published books, showcasing a diverse range of genres and voices.

As Ireland’s principal advocacy organisation for writers, the Irish Writers’ Union represents and supports Irish writers writers of Irish interest publications, wherever they are based, championing their rights through initiatives including the Grand Theft Author campaign, which calls for greater protection of authors’ work from unauthorised use in training large language models.

The evening will also feature a panel discussion and Q&A exploring the featured books and the journey to publication, followed by refreshments, informal networking, and lots of writerly warmth!
